Adjusted Monetary Base and Excess Reserves–Portrays growth in the adjusted monetary base and excess bank reserves. The base is simply high-powered money, or the fuel for growth in the broader monetary aggregates. When banks have more reserves than they can use, excess reserves build up. High levels of reserve  indicate possible inflationary conditions.
